I like this thread and it's premise. I've read quite a few opinions that are very interesting. So, instead of lurking, I've decided to throw my thoughts into the ring as well. It's obvious to me from my own personal experience, and reflected in this ...

There's always a risk of a correction when markets move in one direction so long, especially when it is making historic highs like the dollar has. But remember, it is the market that doesn't lie. And the trend, is your friend. And I would add the ...

Thanks a lot for posting this. I've read most of them before over the years, but having them all in one place and being reminded of them will tighten up my trading discipline. Happy Trading!

That was my main concern, since I appreciate the convenience of funding with my debit card. I'd never trade with credit, but of course I don't buy that debit cards will not be affected at all. As in anything, follow the money. Who will benefit from ...

It does "work" but as people are pointing out, it seems that "drops" are faster and longer than "pops.' There's no reason you can't trade both ways, but success in anything in life does come down to focusing on the most efficient, effective methods, ...

Guys, who has time to take away from coding and trading to re-code an EA for someone that was sourced "dubiously". I really don't mean to be harsh but it seems like some people expect to get a free EA that someone else paid for, with money or sweat ...

Well put m8, I agree with you. A friend of mine asked me how to take the emotion out of trading. Or as close as possible. I told him trade as small amounts as you can, as long term as you can, because once they are positive you can forget about them ...

I haven't tried any calming, meditation music or buddhist monk chants, but I can understand why that might be good. For me, I like to be amped and excited, since watching charts during the early stages of a trade can get really dull. My choices, are ...

I'm glad I came across this thread. I've been so focused on FX the last few years that I've completely forgotten about options, and how much fun (yes fun) they can be to trade. One question I have though, for the people who are contributing to this ...

Long vs Short — I was long , but closed out my last one around .9400, and I didnt really think it would go past there to be honest. Was wrong, but it has sure slowed down, this stinks of an exhaustion move, not a true continuation. I've ...

Things have changed a bit — Back then m8, Aussie was .60 to the usd too, that made everything seem cheap. I remember celebrating the millennium wondering if we were going to hit .50, things have changed a bit. BTW am short the AUD atm too.

Oh Well!! — I guess lots of things sound good in theory but don't work out so great in practice. Thats why you test out these things, and its worth the time because thats how new things are discovered all the time in many disciplines, math and ...

Interesting Divergence-Bears Beware! — End of week analysis, noticed an interesting bullish divergence on the weekly chart. Of course it being weekly, it needs to be watched and confirmed, but these have a history of being pretty powerful. ...

Trending vs. Ranging — Best indicator to test to filter out ranging periods would be ADX I'd think. Try only using it when the power is rising over 30.

Two Patterns AUDUSD — Two patterns developing in the Aussie, 30 minutes and Daily.

Reverse or Holding? — I haven't gone short yet, wanted to see if it retraced. Good thing I did, and when/if this retest fails it should be a nice trade. Think I'll put an order in at .9075, and watch it closely

AUDUSD looks good — Lots of indicators showing reversal on the Aussie anyway, and looks like they're chilling on the interest raises too, so makes sense. When fundamentals jive with patterns...yummy. At any rate, didn't see this indicator in ...
