Ranger, I did not know that. At this point, there are only a handful of offshore brokers who accept US clients and I don't know which, if any, offer the indexes. You are also right that if the restrictions keep coming, all US traders will have to be ...

Rise, I have not used the Trailing Stop EA to control more than one asset. I know that I may have three charts open, for example, on US30Index. If I put the ea on any one of them, it controls trades I make on any other US30Index chart. Also, there ...

Okay, let's talk. First of all, it's embarrassing to screw up your own method, but that's what I did this morning. Hopefully, you know to do what I say, not what I do. It is true that I have a current bullish bias in my option sales. Since that's ...

well, if there was ever a lesson in following the rules of your method, this is it. i mean, you would think that after all that backtesting, tedious eye-hand simulator trading, etc., i would at least trust the approach. but, nooooo! i have to be ...

grasshopper rubs it in for a while, then decides to bail with a (10) loss. maybe we're both wrong.

heh. for what it's worth, my student did not agree with my decision to get out of the short. stayed with it and is now slightly in profit. sigh! when the mentee becomes the mentor...

past hour, price movement not at all in sync with indicators. probably a good time to take a (30) loss and wait for what appears to be an inevitable long. out at 34458.

Short at 34428, ATR trail multiplier 2.5, making a trail at about 60.

Implied open is bullish, but current signals are sell. Will hold for the 14:30 bar to resolve itself.

Laura, thanks for the work and contribution. Here are a couple of things helpful to me. Note that the Crossover alert is only for the main window. Arrows in the lower window were added by hand. image file file

Okay, hope we got taken out at the 450. Results for the day, two trades, loser -25 and winner +50, net +25. Calling it a day. Maybe see you Monday.

Having taken an initial small loss, what I would do here is set either a stop at 450 or a tight trail. This would ensure that we walk away a winner from these two trades.

Couldn't bring myself to bet against my bullish options (put credit spreads), but you would have logically gone short at the open of the 17 bar, 34502.

Stopped out for about -25. Watching for reverse or re-entry.

A few thoughts on your trailing stop. You may prefer just setting a 75 hard stop and the MT4 trailing stop, also at 75. That's close to how my simulator works. When using the MQLTA Trailing Stop EA, use your head. If a 1.5 multiplier gets you too ...

15 bar, SAR is above price, candles are slightly blue. No entry yet.

This morning, indicators are up, but 14 bar is red. M1 shows a pretty strong down move, so waiting for and expecting an opportunity to buy when signals align. For what it's worth, implied open is up. ATR is a little low for comfort, so set the ...

When actually trading, I use MQLTA Trailing Stop EA. I've been a little undecided about the multiplier to use, but usually 1.5. The simulator will not permit using an EA, so just set a 75 trailing stop. No TP, let trades run until trail is hit or ...

Okay, here is a simulation for last month, May 21, entire month. Would I have actually traded it this way? Well, I think so. Believe I tried to be honest with myself. If you have any interest in this, there is really only one way to see if it is ...
