Well it seems the initial big drop in the pair was due to the GDP figures that came out. The rest seems to be echo's of what Ben Bernanke said at Jackson Hole symposium. "Bernanke reiterated his position that the Fed's Open Markets Committee stands ...

The speech / news deciphered: "I'm waiting for elections to end.... finger is still on the big red printfinity button waiting for xmas injection for Januarally"

Straight from bloomberg. "The Fed is not satisfied where we are, especially unemployment." Japan is not something we want to emulate with low interest. QE is betting on recovery in real assets not keeping bond yields low. Will it work? 'printfinity' ...

I'm down hard as well. But lets all stop and take a deep breath. What we are seeing is whipsaw from jacka$$ hole (). What are the implications this will have in the longer run? Will this move stay? Or will we come back to reality in a few hours / ...

Oh if only we would follow logic! Ben doesnt want to dissappoint the markets by cutting off their heroin, but he knows its not needed as badly this time around. Probably will still do some form of it but not as much as people would be expecting. ...

Same here. I added on a slightly larger short than I usually do. (Using small, slightly leveraged positions). I'm down about 19% overall right now with a total leverage over all positions of about 7:1. At least I'm learning with real money and not ...

Answered my own question. This new rule was created by the NFA, a US regulatory body. OANDA and all other forex brokers are required to enforce it for US Division clients. this rule was put in place to prevent people from hiding losses. There are ...

QE = printing more money = weaker dollar as its flooded with more.. so as you can see by now u/cad would go down. Seems they have been saying QE3 for awhile now so it was only a knee-jerk reaction.

Nice charts. We hit 99460 so I guess it is still under the next trend line. I think in 3 hours when FOMC meeting minutes are released we'll know for sure QE3 won't happen (I don't see why it would?) and that would give dollar a nice rally. Also ...
