Cool and great work, Naddmer! I spent quite sometime on the R end to optimize my strategy and I am close to the end of the testing, and was about to choose between Jave API with R interface or just use MT4 with tied with your new multi-command mt4R, ...

Just a quick alert, the new mt4 build600 seems to have changed the files structure and added few things that make the old mt4r plugin fail to load, at least it is the case for ironfx.com 's new mt4 client. After so almost 4 years since the release, ...

Thank you Naddmer for the explanation and the sample code! I was just testing some system tonight using source() to load few functions, apparently I didn't get everything right since it didn't print out the signal in the log window, though you ...

Good work, Naddmer. So can I send multiple R commmands in parallel with your new plugin now? or maybe I can still use 7bit's old version and put a Rx(source("command.R")) for batch mode? Thanks.

It seems I am by far not the only one who likes 7bit's R MT4 interface. :-) I've been trying to setup an EA to test couple of models with R interface, but I am stucked in the very beginning of using 7bit's indicator code to construct a test EA ...

adamfx, you may also post your code to let's check if there is any problem, 7bit used simple OLS method in his sample code which can be easily adapted to other regression even like svm <- I am testing this.

FXEZ, do you think the below idea is worth testing for an EA? Constantly scan target pairs and open/close positions based upon the ADF test threshold? BTW, I got 7bit's arbmat and trendmat working after following your instruction of "check the ...

g5supra, I tried the "arbmat" EA code and it didn't work for me neither, the only thing works is 7bit's indicator exmaple, but why did you load py26? do you use python to call the Rterminal?

Sensible points, the OOS issue seems to be universal when it comes to EA development, lot of predictions algorithms fail for the same reason of in sample over-fitting. The PairTrading R package looks fine for me and I am playing it to try if it can ...

I read somewhere in 7bit's posts that it works in Win7, but I don't know if your error are "4 digit broker" related.
- croupier replied Feb 25, 2013
I did and it looks promising at least the code in post#8 worked well and plotted a Red color trend-line around the bars curve, but still no luck with the rest 2 EAs. It is good enough and I will play with the "RExecute(R, "pred <- predict(model, ...
