Hi 5abi, I tried doing the same idea earlier this year, but I was entering at market - I made tons at first, but then lost it all - so your idea of staggered orders away from the market is of interest to me, and I have a few questions. In your very ...

Oh Oh. Trouble again. Think about what he said: Long EURUSD Long GBPUSD Long EURGBP He calls this a hedge, and just wait for the money to roll in. Do the math - you're long 2 x EURUSD. This is no hedge. I don't frequent these boards much, and I ...

Here's a few basket examples that are nuetral. I hope they're right - I just made them up. It all depends on what pairs you get from your broker, and if you have any preferences (for example, I shy away from EURGBP because that pair gives me more ...

Sure, whatever works. I guess what I'm saying is - don't go into this with blinders on. The hedge itself puts you short USDJPY, and with the exception of the one EURGBP pair, essentially any trade you make puts you either short the USD or long the ...

Indy - theretically, if it was a perfect hedge, the total profit of the hedge would always be zero, but there are inefficiencies in the market that will have a hedge bouncing back and forth on either side of zero. And yes, this system would still ...

Hedge ? — I understand most of this, but what I don't get is why everyone is calling the 10 pairs a hedge. When you work it out and eliminate the offsetting currencies, the net "hedge" is selling 5 units of USD vs JPY and buying one unit of ...

No, I don't want a "take profit". I'll close my trades manually, for profit. All I want is a fixed stop loss on my basket. Not trailing, not stepped, just a fixed stop.

EA for basket fixed stop — I've got Steve Hopwood's EA for MultiPurpose Trade Management, but all I want is a fixed stop on the whole basket, and Steve's EA doesn't seem to do this. For example, if I have 8 trades on and the 8 of them add up ...

I'm still waiting to see if anyone can help me. I'm still back at post 1 trying to get the indicators working. They display, but there's no activity and I've gone over the instructions several times and checked that all the files are loaded onto the ...

Indicators don't calculate — Sorry to bother others, but I've loaded all the indicators from post # 1, and double checked everything (including Formula_2), but I still just get a screen with all the indicators, but no updating. Any suggestions ...

2ProtectAccount code — I've been through this thread and the thread called "Simple Trading Method with trader101" setting up my charts, but I can't find an open code version of "2ProtectAccount.ex4". All I can find are compiled versions, which ...

Most people have left this thread, so if I may, I'll give you my answer to your questions, but it's just one trader's opinion. First, an "edge" simply means a method to trading that will give you better than a 50/50 chance of making money. Second, ...

Number "1" was the short, because price had penetrated the bottom of the range he drew with his fib. Then, later on, he went long at "2", and when price retraced back into the range, he entered a second long (so he was holding 2 longs at that ...

Thanks, Steve. Not only for sharing, but that was one of the most concise charts and explanations on this whole thread. Most other charts leave you guessing. Remember that Skunny says that long-tailed candles are inaccurate. I've made a practice of ...

Post 825 says he trades 1-hr mostly. Post 3122 says he trades the 1-hr setups, but uses the 15-min to manage the trade. Throughout his thread, he always recommended the 1-hr, and always implied you would have troubles on shorter timeframes.
