Ooookaay. One more confirmation and probably the last one that I need. MT4 is crap. Plain and simple. So...the only viable option is what? Find a prime broker or the closest thing to it? Like Lmax or IB?

No, 200ms is not considered okay for me. Far from it. If you read my post carefully, it's obvious that my system and type of trading is very extreme case of scalping. I mean it's news trading. It's scalping within miliseconds. Anyway, if I ...

There won't be any indicators at all. Cause they all suck imo. Probably just my custom EA to help me get things faster. And that's it. Because manually it would be unimaginably difficult to trade with the strategy I'm planning to.

Isn't slippage correlated with spread? If so, I've seen a handful of times where spread is very reasonable during even the most volatile market eruptions on news release. Sometimes even less than 5. So, if the spread is let's say 5, then we ...

Well, I contacted them again and they said that everything is the same. But here's the interesting part: I asked them about negative balance protection and they said they have no idea where did this info came from because they don't offer this ...

Great to see this thread still alive. Anyway, I always wanted to ask people who trade news on Metatrader 4. What is your average execution time? I heard somewhere that Metatrader has some kind of lock or something which doesn't allow execution time ...

Hey, thanks for valuable info. Just one question. If they both use the same liquidity providers, does it mean that trading itself from technical standpoint like, execution time, slippages, spreads like you mentioned etc. will be the exact same? ...

Lmax is real solid broker, no doubt. The problem is, they don't welcome news traders. I believe it's even stated in their terms. Maybe it has changed since last time I checked although i really doubt.

Wow. That really helped. I would have never realized that you need knowledge, experience and patience to succeed at anything. You know what? This was the most informative post I've ever seen. I already feel the knowledge of FA overcoming my whole ...

What's wrong with that kind of thinking? And what's so funny about it? Wouldn't a good mentor, I mean real good speed up the learning process for a newbie trader?

vvFish probably has a flawless broker. Maybe even prime one. Which of course requires 6 digit starting deposit. Can't imagine trading profitably news spikes with regular retail firm. At least I couldn't find one so far that would solve requote, out ...

41 sec delay. That's insane. I had 10 sec delay myself after 10 minutes usd news release. The market settled down, no wild movements or spread. Cannot understand. Internet speed at work is only 3 mbps though. And pc is beyond terrible. Could this be ...

Looks like Forexia was right. Just recently traded NZD cash rate. The forecast was that rates will be cut from 2.25 to 2.0. So I sold the rumor couple minutes before the release. I also placed pending buy order in case the rates would be left the ...

What if my trade volume is no more than couple lots per trade? Would they still ask me to stop trading the news? Cause I don't think such volume would do any noticeable difference. Also, how much does LMAX usually give news traders before asking ...

Thanks for the detailed answer. Just couple of things. What makes you think if one does not have 10k to trade, he/she shouldn't trade the news? I'll be honest. I'm planning to start trading with 1000$. That's the most I can afford right now. Also, I ...

Thanks. One more thing. When the news hit the market, there was a huge gap between the candles. I don't think it's normal since I didn't see any gap on your posted screenshot. Is this MT4 or brokers fault?

Thank you everyone for the replies. One more question. I see some of you tried to trade NZN official cash rate. For the very first time I tried trading the news with the real money myself and just before the news, the whole platform froze for good 5 ...

Hello everyone. Since I cannot start a new thread yet and since I'm very interested in trading the news, maybe some of you could answer some basic questions that I have about news trading. Or maybe they're not that basic. Anyway, here they are. 1. ...

If the price doesn't make new highs or lows for quite some time, it's probably ranging market. Some currency pairs are infamous for that

I think sooner or later, hard work pays off. All you need, is never stop improving. Even if you think you know everything.
