It shows how little they care and invest into their business when they don't even bother with the effort of filling out their website page, other than a copy and paste. Since 2015, the Terms of Use website page still shows: [INSERT FORMAL COMPANY ...

Looking at this historically, this works very well. Thank you for posting.

Thanks Callitradar. I had a feeling based on technicals that it wasn't a good day to trade EURUSD that day where the drawdown began but, I wanted to keep the EA running 24-7 on EURUSD. This put me against a 160 pip movement and prompted me to find a ...

Thanks for describing what statistics are important to look for in a TE. About maximal drawdown, where do I find this? The only one I see is Max Return Drawdown.

I have much respect for traders that manually trade and are able to control their emotions. Having full control over emotions, even with an EA, can be difficult but I believe there's a reason for the greed problem. If there is a solution to that ...

Is it only EU citizens that can reply to ESMA?

I've posted the new TE. The drawdown should now be better controlled by trading only one pair instead of all pairs. I don't think TE is displaying the drawdown correctly. Right now it's showing 0.0%

It's a good thread; maybe everyone is busy researching because there are other similar patterns that will work just as well as this one. I described on in a previous post one such thing here, and here.

That could be stated as: Buy if, 1. candle (0) is bearish 2. candle (1) is bullish and closes above open of candle (0) Sell if, 1. candle (0) is bullish 2. candle (1) is bearish and closes below open of candle (0) You could also try this to see but, ...

Thanks for sharing to the OP. You could also try: 1. bearish candle. 2. next, bullish candle that closes above the open of previous. 3. next, within the next few (1 to 5) candles, look for a candle that closes below the open of bullish candle in ...

Yes but wouldn't the Australian brokers also be a next target some point in the future?

It would be crazy risk if the entries were more on the sloppy side. This is a 2K account and the 2 to 4 standard lots on average is not all placed at once in a few trades. That would be crazy risk. Instead that volume is spread out throughout the ...

No technique in Forex trading is mutually exclusive. For the closest similarity I'd say it would probably most resemble dollar cost averaging.
- MTEATrader replied Jan 21, 2018
About the risk, there's not a fixed dollar amount but a typical daily volume is anywhere from 1 to 2 standard lots for each 1K in the account. So in the 1st TE attempt with a 2K account, on intraday trades there was typically 2 to 4 standard lots ...

2nd Attempt: I didn't expect to start the 2nd attempt so quickly but I think a little adjustment may have been all that was needed. The goal for the TE is to maintain a less than 3% drawdown while generating a 3% daily profit with no compounding. ...

Sorry this didn't turn out to be a good example of a Forex strategy. I'm going to disappear for a while and may eventually return with a more worthwhile journey to follow. Good luck to everyone. image

For Friday, the account gained 6.2% and balance matched equity. But, I got a bit greedy and continued trading past the time that makes things risky with the current EA settings. This led to much drawdown, I lost the earlier gain of 6.2% and ...
