I've made my live trading account accessible to those who want to copy my trades on CTrader. Doing good so far. My account is a month old but has already grown to almost 300% ROI. Total of 20 trades all wins. The one loss I have is (funny enough) ...

I noticed that my equity dropped to less than 60% on my first day of trading then quickly increased my equity to around +38% after a week. After I did a hard reset (closed all open (winning and losing) positions as well as all pending orders, then ...

Closed all open positions for a hard reset of my strategy. Total profit after 15 days of trading is $966 or a 96% increase in equity. Now I'll restart my trading and see if I can achieve consistent or better results. :-)

Interestingly enough, my strategy is not prone to the problem of having a high DD. That is why I am able to trade for almost a month with a high DD and still achieve +50% equity increase after 14 days of trading

It will happen only if I do not close all open positions. My account’s leverage is only 1:100 so it’s quite safe from that doomsday scenario. It’s a demo account as I am still testing my new strategy so I do not make withdrawals

I only let my losers run because it is profitable overall. All it takes for me to secure my profits is to close all positions and I would secure my profits and start with new positions with 0% DD.

Move my post to the correct section/category as needed then. No problem

Not an issue with my system since I only trade 0.01 lot size and 99% of all (1,475 and counting) my trades are profitable. :-)

But EURUSD's average daily range is only around 70 pips while most GBP pairs (aside from EURGBP) averages well over 100 pips movement daily. What do you mean then by it (EURUSD) being the most liquid pair?

When you see AUD and NZD as the weakest currencies against the USD and GBP is the strongest against USD (or vice versa), watch how GBPAUD and GBPNZD move like a freight train with no brakes. :-) If you take out all the exotic pairs, GN and GA are ...

I actually rarely ever listen to music when I trade or doing practically anything else. I used to play lead guitars in a metal/hardcore band ages so. After that, I rarely ever listen to music at all. :-)

What's important for me is to have faith in your strategy and not panic if the trade goes against you soon after you enter. The worst thing that can happen (psycho-emotionally) is cutting your losses too early, only to see the trade ultimately go ...

GBPAUD, GBPNZD and GBPJPY seem to be the most viable pairs to scalp since these pairs move at least 100 pips daily. Less danger of the pair to suddenly range.
- forexseer replied Dec 15, 2018
I trade only GBPAUD, GBPNZD and (sometimes) GBPJPY because they are the pairs that consistently trend for at least 100 pips daily. This means you can get into a trade in the middle of the trend of the day and still can expect the price to have ...

I am using fundamentals to signal which currency and direction I would trade. Then I use technical analysis to determine when I'll close a position and get out of a trade. I also use technical analysis to determine when it's time to manage my losing ...
