Good morning guys! My first trade for today is a RB. Could take it also as an ARB some bars later. let´s see how it goes

It took a little bit longer but tp was reached. This trade was a perfect exercise for controlling emotions. If fear would take over you, you will go out with nothing in this trade. The dotted line represents my trailed sl after ARB setup was formed. Later on this level was tested by the pip!

By the way I stopped to post my profit etc. Just want to trade on demo some weeks till I feel fairly confident. Then I will start a challenge with real money and trade explorer

nice trade Jamos! I noticed you use 50-tick. What´s the reason for that?
I use the 50 tick chart because I like it better than the 100 tick chart. After comparing different scales this suited me the best. The 50 is faster and the 100 is slower, so Volman suggests the 70.
another RB. Not 100% sure if my entry was ok. Maybe it would better to wait till price breaks the upper line and then take it as ARB. But on the other hand, it looks good. some buildup with higher lows and a nice range with many touches. Lets wait and see

Was stopped out on the dotted line. Still could pocket some profit of this trade. Seems like the price cant crack th 80 level.

EDIT: 5 minutes later tp would be reached Bob warns against trailing sl to tight, but ok. Seemed logically to me. still happy with a little profit

an example of a trade that I would NOT take. looks like a nice block in an uptrend. entry would be if one of the next bars would take out the signal line of the box to the upside, but its too close to the high of the day (highest blue line) I would better see till price reaches the level and put a little bit fight there.

Looking only for shorts now. After some bearish momentum bars, the current pressure is unmistakable down

I apologize for a bit offtopic, as I do not know anything about the Volman style.
I tried to find setting which would approximately match your previous chart candle count. Would you mind to look at the chart if the method worked here the same way as on your chart?

Hey Halley! welcome to the thread!

This method would work on any chart, cause its based only on price action. Some might have different feed but it shouldnt be a big problem. I dont think my chart looks absolutely the same like bobs chart. he trades with another broker and has also other feed.

On the last move you would catch the same trades as I did. Some of your bars would look a little bit different but it really doesnt matter. Your EMA seems to be a little bit faster than mine. do you use 20 EMA based on close?

Yes, it is EMA(20) on close (the built-in in MT4), I noticed it looked different, but I expect the vendors use slightly different weight.

ok, do you use tick charts on mt4 too? I know there are some scripts that allow to use tick charts on mt4 but I´m not famliar with it. I would recommend to use an extra plattform for tick charts f.e. ninjatrader or prorealtime.

next winner! Price was twice very close to my sl, but bulls couldnt crack the last high in the range. So they gave up and it didnt take much time to bring the price under the RN level.

Often it is helpful to watch on the bigger picture. Notice how the price reacts on the last strong support in the 1.1145 zone. If the range, where I took my entry off would be 5 pips lower, I wouldnt take the trade, cause the support zone and the RN would be too close as my tp is always 10 pip.
