You are 100% right and as I mentioned in the opening post really the settings potentially need to be different for each pair to get the best out of it. For example, the volatility and daily range of say EURUSD is very different from say GBPJPY. Your suggestion will get over this issue by calculating based on a percentage of what the bar range is for...Ignored
I think it is important that we should need to adjust and change settings from time to time, because the markets change - a lazy trader is a loser. As traders we should be on top of all our work and that also means bringing settings up to date when needed.
Personally i am finding that the M15 is the most reliable signal (maybe 40% without taking into account trend direction or accumulation) but that is not the case for all crosses.
