I have experienced MT4 sessions freezing. This is especially the case when the market is busy and there is a rapid flow of tick-data, such as near news events. This mainly seems to happen on terminals running dashboard based strategies and happens with TDesk as well as EAX.
It's important to be aware that MT4 has some resource limitations … and that PINs and dashboards do use a lot of resources. I understand that MT4 processes all the indicators and EAs on one chart sequentially (not in parallel). Therefore, if you load too much into one chart the CPU may not have time to process everything before the next update is due. MT4 gets backlogged with work will appear to freeze.
Badly written EAs and Indicators can also bleed away resources on the terminal. You can spot issues such as a memory leak using Task Manager/Resource Monitor -the terminal gradually uses more and more memory. But there are other code related issues that can choke up the system. I try to avoid these issues in my code, but I am not claiming they are perfect, and I cannot speak for other EAs and Indicators you are using on the same terminal.
My own approach is to put all the PINs on one chart, and put EAX on a different chart. This seems to reduce the tendency to freeze.
I have also had issues with the VPS (eg. running several MT4s) becoming sluggish and unresponsive, first noticeable by apparent freezing of the terminals. This persisted even after closing the terminals, and still persisted after a server reboot. I run 5 VPSs and this was isolated to just one of them. The VPS host kindly offered to move my VPS to a different physical server and this cleared up the problem!
@PIF to get 49pins and 5 EAX running on one MT4 terminal is pretty impressive!

Disliked{quote} EA runs in their own threads. Indicators as you told runs in same thread. Only doubt is if using indicators in different pair chart uses different thread too ( because MT5 works in this way )Ignored
DislikedI swear JagFX SNR and Fibo zones used to line up with Davit's pivots and Pivot Voty but now it looks way off. Any ideas why? I haven't changed any settings. {image}Ignored

Disliked@jagzuk Setup a template with Pivot & SnR using "attach to this chart only" and set it up using AUDCAD, saved as template "default". Using EAX opened e.g. the pair AUDJPY and the indi Pivot & SnR on the chart AUDJPY retained the AUDCAD info. The only way to make it correct was to refresh all the indis even though the indi internal field setting is "Try to preserve previous settings ..." is set to False. Any ideas? ThanksIgnored

TDesk can now use up to 8 EAX PINs. Sounds very technical, but is something that increases the number of possible input signals hugely. EAX PINs are very similar to our Drone Indicators. They have been there before TDesk was invented and are fully explained here:

There are a lot of EAX PINS out there to take advantage of, and one benefit is that they tend to be multi-pair so we don't need to have...
DislikedIts ok but his TDesk is... Precisely my Dash tried expand EAX pins ( 3 at that time ) and give more flexibility ( I always loved EAX PIN feature ) {image} PD: I posted DashTZ tool in Dashboard Trading a few weeks before ( maybe before start 2016 )...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes Juan, I was around when you released and even still have your original "PINS" before license as well: Averages SNR Strength Trend Zones etc. I am not involved with SH forum or any users, I was just checking beause Jagz mentioned, but I understand where you coming from. I just wanted to mention that there were some updates to give some credit. Cheers!Ignored
