DislikedI just did. It's right above your somewhat angry (?) post But maybe I posted a fake chart, in which case just pull up your own chart of FTSE 100 daily on 9May and today.Ignored

Disliked{quote} erm, not really. If anything, it generates more. And who is "we"? is Yuya part of a trading team? Anyway, like I said, this seems like a thread started for engulfers. When I found it, I happened to be looking at the FTSE bearish engulfing candle, so I posted in here my view abt engulfers together with a live opinion on what was about to happen with the FTSE engulfer. If this somehow upset people well, maybe they should manage to calm their nerves , especially since they are "trading"Ignored
Disliked{quote} everything works sometimes I don't get why everyone seems so upset at my view on engulfing candles? This is a thread about them, so I posted my view abt them, plus my view on the engulfing on the FTSE 9 days ago, and it follow-up outcome today (at least on my Oanda platform). Was this meant to be a thread where everyone glorified engulfing patterns ? Or are puffer fish not meant to comment at all?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Half of the candles marked are not engulfing candles plus several "engulfing" candles on the chart are not marked Personally, no, it doesn't help me. But hey, if it helps others, party on, I say!Ignored
Disliked{quote} your NOT using your eyes, read the post prior to the charts as there are more than one type of engulfing patterns and please show what patterns are not engulfing. You have pointed out ONE failed pattern so your 99% out with the 21 patterns I have shown and yes there are also unmarked patterns. The post was to help others identify these set ups and use the ema to guide them. Get a life mate-there are better things out there than to kick shitIgnored

DislikedBy the way Peter, you said earlier that one could get better results from engulfing candles if they make sure they agree with the direction of Moving Averages (20, 30, 50 you mentioned as examples) Did you use the MA direction confirmation on this daily trade on AUD/CAD to go short on what you call a bearish engulfing candle? Because your chart doesn't contain MAs. Does you trade agree with the direction of the MAs that you said ppl should use as confirmation?Ignored
DislikedReference to Steve Nison engulfing pattern: Two candles composing the engulfing pattern should be the opposite color and the 2nd real body must engulf the prior real body....It need NOT engulf the shadows or wicks ( page 43 Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques- Steve Nison) So I now ask MR Smarty Pants ( tehnoob) to explain his view of the engulfing pattern, as I have ask this before but he fails to answer.Ignored
Disliked{quote} As I've illustrated before, he couldn't bother to sift through the first few pages comprehensively before commenting. He's here to comment, not to learn nor contribute. Some traders got way too caught up with their own ego and this is what happened. They made themselves look foolish in front of everyone else while thinking they're high up the ladder.Ignored
