DislikedI have been a student of fundamental analysis for many years, and part of my work and analysis has included listening to, and studying, the words of central bankers from all over the world. DislikedThe one thing I DO believe is that the market could not function without controls at boundaries (I don’t mean exhaustions here). Of course then it begs the question, who could control those boundaries. But, imagine if rouge operators from around the world could do “what they want” with price in the currency market (as they DO in other markets). We would have what might appear like flash crashes on a daily basis maybe. And the currency markets would be in turmoil.Ignored

The controls within the Forex market, such as they are, are imposed by Central Banks and their buddies at the Tier 1 banks.Ignored

DislikedHi Andy, Cheers and well done in opening this innocuous thread, Flying Dutchman. Where simple opinions can be posted without the usual arguing over who is right and who is wrong (and where in most of the cases both parties for and against DO have part of the truth - but also part of what I call, from my own behaviour sometimes, intelligent human blindness). There have been many allusions (not illusions, though some would say that IS the case) to this mysterious all knowing algo that people sometimes mention on various threads.
