Hi Rocket,
Post 17181 was a demonstration of consolidated ranging (you know the rules - double top and that sort of thing), so it's not the same as the current situation. But I know what you mean.
Yesterday the market dropped about 170 pips in 4 hours and since then it has been trading in a narrow band of 40 pips (give or take) and it's deciding what it is going to do.
Dove always wrote about 'the big picture' and 'trading in the moment'.
He would say 'don't think, just do what the Paradox is telling you'.
At the start of the thread he used snippets of charts to explain this. It really makes a lot of sense to get your mind to think in these terms.
So if you're anticipating a turn in the market and trying to get in early what you are doing is thinking, anticipating and trying to predict. Which you shouldn't.
There are rules for entry in this scenario (consolidated downtrend on the 2H just at the moment) and for a turn (which hasn't happened yet).
Anyway, they're my thoughts and I'd be happy for anyone else to pull them apart if they have other ideas.
Cheers
