I believe that I picked that up from many of The Strat videos that I watched recently; anyone else pick up on that?

My guess is that a candle number is not fully assigned until the Close, hence the earliest entry would be the next Open.

I will review the videos when I have time and locate a reference for you.

your entries are a bit late, imo... yes you identified the Actionable Signals and In Force patterns, but entries need to be closer to where the reversals occur (see your chart, attached, with possible earlier entries).
The same comment applies for your GBPJPY post.

Yes candle number does change between it's open and close. Makes sense as it may start out as an inside bar and price action could have it end up as engulfing . Might have been a better indicator if the number didn't appear until candle closed.

correct me if this is wrong but you buy with the Strat only with the condition that the price is above the current and last month's high and also above the current and the last week's high
and vice versa for selling

the entry was on 212 pattern
the red candle marked with x sign is the 1 in the 212
next candle took out the high of 1 and became 2
that's when I entered
because of the spread the entry is far away on the upside on the original image

So, you're okay to call the candle number and direction before the close?

And I see a 3 on the 1-hour, is that where you mean? I guess it doesn't matter, just enter on the 1, inside bar.

my gosh you're right! it is 312 not 212 and it's my mistake
numbering the candle before close, that's what I picked up from sara sniper but I probably misunderstood
I will rewatch some of the videos I have already watched
so we need to wait for every candle to close, on both the higher timeframe and the entry time frame?
maybe wait for the candle close on daily and enter before the candle close on 1h
