Hope you are well.

Better to trade Long inside the Northern hemisphere or Short while visiting the Southern hemisphere isn’t is.
Tape reading here gives more accurate results because the data here is less manipulated.

I wonder if only you and me know what I am talking about.

Price is usually random, not all the time, if its random 100% of the time, NOONE is making money, literally.
its an edge in trading extremes because its more often than not, going back to the value (equlibrium), than not, and you use stoploss, because ur never 100% obviously.. just my two cents

Trading is so unbelievably simple. I highlight the sentence RickM wrote that explains trading in a single sentence. That's all traders have to do to be profitable. Do the opposite you lose.

You know even though most of my posts on FF in the last few years have been Futures trading related, I still very quietly trade a simple North / South trend trading strategy from one I used to talk about a few years back. It’s using the correct mindset that allows it to be highly profitable. There’s no use talking about it because most here aren’t prepared to do the hard yards.

That’s a chart from Crucial Point, a thread 14 years ago maybe the best work seen on Forex Factory.
The point of the post is the markets is a Sine wave where the market flips on an equilibrium. Easy money can be made by just being long on one side and short on the other.

The trend will always break. Learn to recognize a sideways curve and don't trade then. Spend a lot of time not trading. Only trade a very strong trend, this means you have a trend and the indicators are also heading in the same direction on a larger time frame. If not you have a countertrend.....don't trade it! I take the trade on a smaller time frame.

Waiting is the most costly part of trading. Traders pay time to wait. If you're an intraday swing trader your waiting time can easily be a few hours of chart staring in waiting mode for the right conditions(low or high of day) to execute the trade entry. Average waiting time 3hours.

After entry, you babysit your trade. For an intraday swing trade of say 40pips, it may take 2-4 hours, average 3 hours. Another 3 hours of screen staring waiting mode.

Total waiting time every trading day 6 hours on average. Bad days waiting time may exceed 12 hours. Half of a traders daylight life is wasted on waiting at his computer.

The best trader is the trader who is highly skilled with the patience to wait. A top professional who is blessed with patience. The cool guy.

The genius of forex trading is the one who knows the high or low price of the day(entry) ahead of time. Cut short the waiting time.

Trading strategy is the easy part.
Long in the northern hemisphere, short in the southern hemisphere.

Whether you're profitable depends on how skilled you are with the patience to wait.

If waiting 6hours staring screen waiting is not for you, you hate waiting, forex trading is not for you. Or you position trade longer time frame. Or you scalp like mad for 2hours a day.

Ask yourself what suit you and your lifestyle. Perhaps trading is not for you, the money is not worth the waiting time. Or you simply hate waiting.

Don't ask the trader whether he's profitable?

Ask how much time he has wasted waiting ?
If he doesn't know, he's intoxicated with and addicted to gambling forex.

The best trader spends the least waiting time making serious money.

Waiting is the foremost reason you say no to forex trading. Many come to this conclusion after wasting a decade to learn the dark side of forex trading. The rest are still wasting their time waiting. The clock counts down to the moment of your realisation ......

1 truly HUGE problem is the complete lack of real life experience. that life experience helps the person operate beyond all the "gotcha" info round the place. on dis site online and in other places. gaming-gambling-trading ect are all interchangable words n ideas. no strategy or tactic or gimmick can withstand this concept. funny how persons happily !!accept!! da displacement of reality but not of gambling ... oh i mean tradin. "there mUST be a way 2 win" and on n on. and ofc da end game 2 it is da same. gamin INSIDE da gamin room WITHIN its walls n rules will never let u keep ur winnings forever. another unpopular displacement of reality for persons. so....gotta LUV da old members n brainy persons n "successful persons" of tradin or collectin or bankin profits or "booked profits".

so da biggest problem is never wat most persons say it is. wots da point in doin somethin where u "believe" u can outdo da room wen all evidence would point 2 da contrary? it means dat every person who thinks theyll always be "able" 2 outdo !!da broker or da bank or da big boys or wotever!! .... ur playin entirely da WRONG game. but its always da same - persons who havent experienced enough havent learnt enough n seen enough 2 put it all together 2 see the real game. u dont need 2 !!be philosophical!! or wotever u need to engage ur brain .... wotevers left anyway. gotta LUV humans .... alwaaaaays think ur right .... right uuuup until it comes crashing on da head.

this is a good lesson on 1 of da biggest problems. now lets watch all da !!persons!! who dont know da meaning of da word !!No!! come outta da woodwork. da dumb lazy or da thievin or merely da highly opinioncharged.

yes sure now let me add here ... restraint before !!waiting!!. waiting doesnt respect da situation. it can get irritable or distracted. it can wanna make flash decisions or try to impress or be stubborn. restraint however, will always outperform them all. it doesnt fear or get greedy or try to outdo anyone. dis is a lesson persons need 2 learn more than any. persons who use their genitals or muscles 2 make calls or decisions are still livin in da stone age. u see it wen they shove their resume n credentials in ur face on dis site. or pretend 2 !!be one of da people!! or defend thier beliefs by makin impressive views on somethin. 2 see wot its capable of but know its UR game u play not theirs. so u dont !!use!! their targets or assertions or anticipations or expectations. u do it da way tat restraint would always do it.

as a loser of life a person always wants more n wot they have accumulated tries 2 impress or persuade. dis games' qame wants u dumb lazy hungry 4 MORE. so teetering on edge of greed. u all have da same thing in common.

Yep and guess what triggered twice last week as I had to head into town at lunch time? - The 2 perfect trades I had been waiting for all week! Dead on midday as I was heading out of the door, got back 45 mins later to total dismay - Sods law or the Universe is not on my side that week!

i agree that the markets are a sine wave, most of the time.
and what i said is that you're supposed to be short when its extended upwards and should go back to the equlibrium, and vice versa for long.

I have a solution for this "Waiting" issue, it is an EA(algo)

I have been trading via ea for last 3 years. It took years of hard work to define the logic, code it and be satisfy with performance.

Now, I spend no more than an hour before market open, just to make sure that money factory(ea) is ready to meet the day.

I am still around charts, FF forums, as with believe in my logic and believe in execution via ea, trading became a rather pleasurable hobby.

In my opinion all these talks about psychology is just a way to explain and justify laziness and lack of knowledge.
