I've been following this thread for some time now... I've back tested the system and from Dec - Today it's at 90.91% profitibility, on GBP/USD.

That being said, I don't think anyone knows the MACD vaules... This is a system you just use as an expert and either you take the trade or you don't. I wouldn't trade the MACD as was put forth in earlier posts... simply because of divergence... unless there were MACD values that eliminated them.. then I would manually trade it I suppose.

Either way, the backtesting shows it to be consistently profitible... with a good money management system, you will profit.
Took 50 pips off the CHF 5M this morning - default settings + TP50 moved SL to b/e after +25.
Does anyone here only use MACD to trade in live account? I think its dangerous, I just want people's opinion on it....

You made a error in your code:

The Close[] is not good, its not the price close you put there but one of the 7 Price constants ranging from 0 to 6.

In your case, i'm sure you mean PRICE_CLOSE.

I have downloaded MACS1 and now trying to test this out.
However, for some reason I cannot activate the software?? It does show in the Navigator list. But it is not working??. Could it be that because the market is closed?? It is Saturday??

MACD1 is to identify the entry point: When the MACD moves from - to + do a buy and if it goes from + to - go do a sell. The fast and slow MAs are 1 point apart and should be quite high (250+)

MACD2 is to get the exit point: It's fast MA is always 100 but the slow one is the one used for MACD1. Once the value reaches the peak during the first cycle if it is a buy or a pit during the first cycle if it is a sell, then close the deal with profit. If the state is not profitable, just leave it.

In case MACD2 didn't produce profit, wait for a specific period (wait_time_b4_SL) and then exit with the least loss possible.

Check the code and you'll understand how this one works. The paramenters are good in default for EURUSD M5 charts. But you can always check other values, particularly MACD values.

Attached is also a test result for EURUSD during (4/7-6/26 2005). Really impressive!

For the MACD Level, what does it mean? If MACD Level is set to 500, does that mean the same thing as the MACD values on the right hand of the indicator must be "+/- .00500" before anything gets triggered?

Hm.. how to use this indicators? you put it under C:/yourfolder/intrabank/experts/indicators right? and then I closed my mt4 and re-open it, but I still couldn't apply the indicators. It is showing on my custom indicator list, but I can't apply it. Anyone know what happen?

As ET said it's an expert. The experts folder is the parent folder of the indicators folder. Save it there. When you re-start MT4 it will show up as an expert in the navigator.

Yes, it loads up successfully, but I can't see the difference. I was using MACD templates, and I can't see the difference. It just said "compiling" but no "initialized" or "successful"

Did you attach the EA to a chart? Is there a smiling face in the upper right hand corner of the chart you attached the EA to?

No.. there's no smiling face.
I got the EA up and running. The first trade was stopped out for a loss of 36 pips. But the second trade is up +107 so far, but it is not closing out at the 100 take profit level. Isn't it supposed to take profit at 100, or is there some other condition that needs to be met before the TP is activated?
