read somewhere that Ninjatrader was free using Gain Capital data feed. But i need to have a real account with they? Because it is asking a login.
ok, just found it. Needs to register for a demo account with gain and it will works.

now i only wants know the link for an coloreded indicator that shows the top and bottoms.

actually you dont need to register with gain, create a new gain-connection within ninja trader platform and choose "use ninja trader server". this should work...

now serious. For all NT users: what are the biggest advantages using NT? People like NT due tick and custom tf capabilities. I was interested in see if they Gain feed was the same of Tradestation, to see if they volume was close to the volume showed at eSignal platform.

what i would like to see is a revelutionay way to show many fibos and pp on the chart but by it looks like even worse than MT4.
using GAIN feed, there is no way to force NJ to show a specif data range? I am trying to see 4 min from 30 jan to 31 and it show a blank chart.
That means you do not have tick or minute level data in the database for that time span.

Gain feed: Free real-time - no demo necessary, it's in the connection.

ps: set ninja trader servers as your backfill server. sometimes Gain does not have much history data.

try: tools->historical data->reload and set the time which you need.

but i dont know if this will work. never needed historical data from so far back...
thanks ART. Unfortunally it did not work. Looks like NJ server holds only data form the last month or less.

Gain has only spot Forex? There is any way to have futures for free with NJ?

i was trying to add futures with the instrument manager. Tried cheking cme with "EUA" in the first field. Then the smallest change in # at fields margin, rollover, etc. But i get error message.

if NJ don't have CME futures for free, there is another plaftorm wich has?
Gain is a Forex broker and as such, they cannot offer quotes from other markets. Spot forex data is free.

Futures data is not free and regardless of your choice of broker you will have to pay (or at least someone pays) for that information. Here are typical prices for futures data: http://www.cmegroup.com/market-data/.../packages.html

All free for the user, and Yahoo for free Daily stock charts through Ninja too.

tried zen-fire demo, they dont seem to have fx?
tried gain demo but they dont have historical (trying now 12/july and only get historical untill 29/6).


Is there anyone that provied historical data longer than this for free?
I cant even find demo-accounts for this.

Go back into your Connection Options and set your historical data to "Use NinjaTrader Servers." They collect Gain data on their server. Using Gain Servers will only get you about 2 weeks of data.

Thanks Phil, I did do this but did not see any updating. I am assuming the gain server shuts down earlier for the weekend then my fxpro account does. I'll look at it again Monday when the market opens and see if it's updating in real time...
Their data stops at 1700 ET. Make sure you are connected. If you can't get this working send me an email and I can connect with you and take a look.
I figured out the problem, I had ignore weekend data checked in the template properties on my chart. So it stopped updating my charts after midnight my time (Tokyo time). So I guess I need to figure out the proper Session begin / end time in chart properties so I can have it ignore weekend data but continue pulling in data until the end of trading 5EST Friday?
