Done! Version 1.24 in 1st post. After quick testing I think that when UsePivotsForEntry is false then it's better to let EA open trades only on new candle opening so set TradeOnNewBar - true.

Kevin: You can use TrailingStop option.

Pls let me run it for a couple of days to monitor trades. I will then come back to you to answer your questions above.

the difficulty some people had was in monitoring multiple timeframes, however, yas1rs adaptation worked quite well. I'll see if I can contact him to help out as well, also a couple of other traders.

Hello Daniel.

I have installed your Version 1.26 and am including the screen shot. I was concerned about the NO SIGNAL message, at the upper left, and wanted to ask you if that was normal.

BTW, I have looked at lots of EAs here on the ForexFactory, and I have to say that your documentation on Page 1 of the thread, is EXCELLENT.

Looking forward to seeing how my demo goes.

Backtesting wont be very useful for this because the data used wont be detailed enough for the EA to spot the 5min trades as it would in real time, unless you have imported tick data.

I tried optimising this EA but, with only TP box ticked, nothing happened, no blue line running across bottom of screen, no data used etc.

Any clues please?

I did a back test just for 2010--10k down to 9200. The good news is it outperforms almost every EA on the market!

I'm the guy who programmed this EA. It's interesting to see some interest
I stopped development because I was too busy to analyse results and tweak this EA, I got to the point when EA it was on break even. Maybe I will have some time to have a look at this EA again.
One advice: backtesting on 5min chart is worthless If you want proof: run this (or any other) EA for 2 days, after that do backtesting for these 2 days and compare results - you will see what I am talking about.

Dear Daniel;
Making backtesting this scalping strategy I have had very good results with the basic inputs, but exits when lag 1 and lag 2 reachs 1 in long positions and 0 for short positions, I documetado over 400 points with these outputs.
You can reschedule and add this function that insurance will work very well.
Then if you want to share your ea reprogrammed with me.

Can you recode this EA with exits when; the laguerre 1 and laguerre 2 are touching 1 at the same time for long positions or the laguerre 1 and laguerre 2 are touching 0 at the same time for short positions.
I have been doing backtesting and these exits have a good number of earned pips.

I think there is great potential here and would hate to see it fall by the wayside.

I'm not a creator of this EA but djanowski is off already for a long time. This is modification of the original EA. Exit: two Laguerre 0 or 1. We are waiting your testing & optimization result ))) And any suggestions...

This message is for Imran Sait, i would like to know how to can i add the two laguerre in one chart and is it possible to add an alert when all the signal are lined up (laguerre, stochastic histogram, and macd)

I am surprised by the quality of this thread. The exit based on 2 Laguerre signals is very interesting.
I should try to code it one of these days
but what fun would be an EA that automatically made $, then we wouldn't have to sit here and look at these pretty charts

Hi there,

Is someone still using this EA please?

I tried using it as a signal provider but Lag and MACD are always showing; No signal, even when a valid signal is on.

Any ideas please?
