Disliked{quote} Scott, thanks so much for sharing. have you ever come across a situation where your basket doesn't close? I guess not. I just eyeballed backwards and saw that 22nd July would have been a hard day. Also I see on some days we could use our discretion and simply close all trades when we have enough profit? 24th July wouldn't have given a signal until late in the afternoon to close the basket but that level was reached at 11am and then acted as resistance for a time before we finally got the red signal to close out the basket at around 4.30pm....Ignored
Disliked{quote} If I could add to that the possibility of basket not closing and the price heading the wrong way, without giving the luxury of selecting an exit level at our own discretion ? So, what would be a good Stop Loss Level.Ignored
Disliked{quote} We can't look back as far as I can see because the indicator repaints so thats no use. I'm interested in knowing the maximum DD that Scott has seen and at what level we should begin to wet ourselves. lol.Ignored
Disliked{quote} On the 22nd, if you put a horizontal line at you closing point, you would have had only 4 losers but 8 winners. Late trades are not that much of a concern as you are still in the New York trading time and can still see price movements. Anything after New York's close I'd be very wary on taking any trades. It's always best to use whatever discretion you desire, but be consistent in doing so. I don't know why you chart isn't showing the same info, did you download the template in post 1 and put it in your templates folder? I've removed and...Ignored
Disliked{quote} What broker do you use for this strategy? I think price feed might be impacting on the indicator output? If you look at the same chart I have with FXPro on 22nd July. All signals match yours except 1. {image}Ignored
Disliked"I've never had more the 30-35% drawdown on a 60 level structure with a total of 8.58 lots possible" What about 7 Jul? I`ve counted 75+ blue squares. So, I think that it needs more levels - maybe 100. But even 100 levels is not guarantee. Anyway it is very interesting trading method. Maybe someone can create EA? Then we can test it for much longer periodsIgnored
Disliked{quote} Good find olvus! If scrolling back just to the 7th of July shows a day on which more than 75 boxes are painted... I wonder what the maximum # of painted boxes has been in history? I wouldn't trade this method until I get an answer to the above. Going back not even a month displays 75+ boxes, going back several years could have days when there are 200 or god knows how many boxes. Definite Margin Call. To the thread creator, how long have you used this method for, and what was the maximum # of boxes in a row that you've witnessed?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I'm sure price feed will have and impact on signal accuracy. I am using OctaFX. Also make sure your input setting is set to 325.Ignored
Disliked{quote} This looks like a grid based strategy. Do you need to be increasing your lot sizes after 13 trades? What if you just trade 0.01 lots on all trades? Whats the most number of trades that you've had that ended in a loss? Also. do you have anything you can share in excel for your lot size calculations driven by account balance? Thanks againIgnored
