Yes, so far, but as I mentioned I was thinking of applying it to close instead of high/low. may be I can provide both options.

lol no big secret actually. just to know what came first so i know if i am trading a reversal or a continuation. If i'm making rules for stops etc. I'm thinking that reversals require more room for stops and bigger targets. That's all.

PS i'm not sure just applying the indicator to the close will have the desired effect. Maybe, but i really don't know.... i'm more interested in the thread i linked in the above post and avoiding the ranges, or trading reversals....I'm going to keep delving into this though ...lets see what other traders say and how it develops
Version 2 of Trap Breaker

with added inputs :

- Use Close Price : Default false so it will use high/low of range. Set to true to test on Close Price instead.
- One Order Cancels the Other : OCO, Default True, so when one order is triggered the others get canceled. Set to false is you want to keep both orders.
- Expiry Bars : Set to number of bars (of current time frame) for Other Order Expiry if previous input set to false.

Thank you for the great work, I will start test it from today on demo.

I am thinking in a way to relate the range size to lot size, i will try this in manual mood.

We can add this(trap breaker) EA H-L lines according to selected number of bars.And put these lines extra orders.And eitherly it wont close the orders on aim profit level and trail with selected distance of pending inverse type order.İt will close the orders when touch this pending level and new inverse order will be opened on there.İ hope ı could tell what ı ment.
Those two EA are different from the first trap breaker on robot factory isnt it

Hi LITE,

It's been a while.

Trap Breaker seems to be lost in the traffic.

With respect to your request, yes, it is possible. Although this concept can not be back tested. (Unless you fix it for a specific hour of the day for example).

In your posted chart, did you deliberately select the Inside Bar ?

Range Detective 1 & 2 are Indicators,
While
Trap Breaker 1 & 2 are Expert Advisors.

Very much so Khalil. That is why I am interested in SemiAuto/Manual mode of trading this. CZs (consolidation zones) are NOT all the same. I have worked out a way to personally select the CZs to trade, and those to ignore. This involves a mix of discretion, technical analysis, price-action, indicators and time-action. Too involved to code in Range Detective format. But once an appropriate CZ is identified, its a money spinner. Stops are well defined at Trap borders(except Hedging and Martingale is enabled of course). 1:1 RR ensures a high winrate. Again, overall success of course hinges totally on selecting the right CZs to start with. Attached is another zone I identified in todays trading.

Hi Abokwaik

Just wondering if you have time to ad 2 functions to range detective indi.

1.If the range is broken down like on the image then we get second rectangle (we can define the amount of pip breakeout) if the price move back and don't reach the amount of pips and break the upper side of the range then we don't get this second rectangle.

2.Ratio between the range and the break rectangles

Try reducing history bars. You can set it to 1000 or 2000.

It depends on the setup.
For 5-digit brokers range size is in points to for 20 pips you set it to 200 points.

Example on EU with setting shown on the chart.

Instead of trading the breaks, seems like the expert might have potential as a scalper within the range.
