Hello Coders. Is it possible that someone can produce an indicator for me which draws a horizontal line from the low of candlestick 12 bars prior to the current candlestick. If the 12 th candlestick can be changed to 10th low as a user setting that would be even better as I can then play about with best setting.

A lot of coding coding for horizontal lines lines has already been done so I hope that it will not be difficult to produce. Sorry to ask but I do not know how to code in MT4. I go back to dos days.

Love this indicator i was hoping to use it for some rapid visual testing on soft4x simulation software, however, the indicator doesnt seem to plot on the chart?

I know its historical data and offline but im wondering if it may just be a setting i have missed any advice welcome,

If there is data and you have candles on the chart, it should be working

Some are paid for yes. But please do a search of FF for the rest and let me know how many you can find.

All the names are there, have a look on MQL5.com to see what comes up there.

It's always better to build your own Template as sharing is full of problems, may time there are stray objects, brokers use different suffix, stuff like that.

Get back to me and I'll help with the missing details.

A) Please help code the following Volume Indicator with horizontal line showing highest volume,starting from the previous period separator for custom time and custom colour for horizontal line. Check picture below

1; Show period
2; Add Volume Indicator
3; Add horizontal line starting on the previous period separator of the highest volume(eg previous day , week, monthly and yearly)
4; Custom time
5; Custom colour for horizontal line

B) I also attached Session volume indicator
1; Please include NY open session volume if possible
2; With the same Session volume colours just show horizontal line and extent it from the Highest volume session

This is the setting how can it be set for DAILY CANDLE that means the first Daily candle for the beginning of the week and the weekly for the beginning of each month.

You have it set for Hours 0 to 8

So obviously for the first day, you need to set it for 0 to 24 hours

Think about it

Setting for the first day of the month, never thought about it

That would have to be done manually every month because it would be a different day of the week, right?

And the extend hours would be? I don't know, does Metatrader count the weekends?

And every month has different amount of days

But say the week is 120 hours, so 4 weeks is 480, try that

Second question not clear, is it first day of the month or first week of the month?

Either way, not worth the trouble IMHO

Mostly out of curiosity, I did a conversion of the .mq4 to .mq5 for this indicator, plus most all of Hanover's library files too, actually.

The manual steps to eliminate all errors and warnings, and to see it "work" were substantial, but I think it did convert ok. Please test it out and compare it to MT4. I only did a brief glance, so it may or may not work properly.

The original .mq4 is a renamed copy taken from here.

The conversion to .mq5 is discussed in this post.

P.S.
EDIT! It never fails, when I rush to do something before heading out the door somewhere, I get sloppy. In the .mq5 file, I did not actually set the new rectangle OBJPROP_FILL correctly. Fixed in this v5.1. Please download again if you got the old one.

EDIT(2)!! In the MT5 file, my use of 'extern' instead of 'input' was a failure, because unlike MT4, the 'extern' vars do NOT display in the "Inputs" tab! But since an 'input' var cannot be changed within the program, and this indicator does just that for *every* "input" variable, I was forced to create internal global equivalent variables. I appended an "_" to each 'input' var name, and kept the original name for internal use. Alternatively, I could have kept the original names, and used a prefix "_" instead, but the former was quicker to do the edits.

P.S. I can only edit past posts for a limited time, perhaps 24 hours (?? A guess). Therefore if there are any more surprises, check later posts for further updates/corrections to the MT5 version posted here. The one posted now is Version 5.2.

To the ~6 people who already downloaded the "Daily LinesBoxes(1) MT5.mq5" file, I made a typo in v5.0. Please re-download the file, v5.1, from the previous post.

The MT5 version of the indicator do not have the "inputs" as in MT4 version see attached, so am not able to use it. Anyway, thanks for your effort.
